Watch the story of plastic for free

Bhuigoan beach is slightly 10km away from vasai station.Once upon a time this was my favourite beach. It was not aware to everyone but the day came & place became femous for the humans. For a lot of us, the beach is our happy place. It’s where we go to soak up the sun, to frolic in the water, or to take long walks to help us mull over major decisions. Some of us are lucky enough to live right by a beach; for others, it’s a once-a-year kind of treat.

Naturally, we feel a little protective of our beaches. We’re shocked to see that some people don’t care as much about our beaches as we do. When we spot trash and debris littering our beloved beaches, it’s upsetting—not only because it damages the beauty of the beach, but also because it hurts the fragile ecosystems that call the beach home.
Now you can see bhuigoan beach.

The problem of plastic in nature, particularly in our oceans, is a global crisis. Every minute, about a dump-truck load of plastic goes into the oceans, sullying beaches, hurting wildlife & humans.

Leave footprints of love and kindness wherever you go.

How to keep beaches clean?

Let’s see how we can keep our beaches clean and our waters safe.

  • Avoid fast fashion. A textile dye is the second largest polluter of clean water, and fast fashion affects the environment by using harmful chemicals, exploits recourses and provides the very poor working condition.
  • Think about where and when and who made it Make safe, sustainable seafood choices and refuse to consume products containing shark fins.
  • Choose plant-based plates and cutlery for picnics or family gathering on the beach
  • Educate yourself about marine life and oceans and educate yourself about how your plastic water bottle winds up in the ocean in the first place
  • Avoid purchasing items that cause harm and exploit marine life such as coral
  • Cut down on single-use plastic. You can do so by switching to reusable bottles, bringing your own shopping bag, saying no to plastic straws
    Think before you flush!
  • Avoid glass items It is best to steer clear of glass items while on the beach. Most of us would be playing and running around on a nice beach outing, and the chances of glass bottles and plates falling and breaking is really high. Picking up pieces of glass from the sand may not be an easy task, and you will likely miss out on some jagged pieces here and there, causing potential danger to yourself and others.

Let's meet Mr. Lisbon Ferrao & mrs Zsuzsanna Ferrao I met them coincidentally on Beach. They are true Environment lover. Saving the beaches & mangroves.

Physiotherapist and Vasai resident Concesao D'Costa said that while she and her fiance Rodney Colaco had been thinking of initiating a beach clean-up drive along with group of friends, it was the image of Zsuzsanna cleaning the beach that was an inspiration for them.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Well it holds true for several Vasaikars, who after seeing an image of Zsuzsanna Ferrao, a Hungarian cleaning the Rangaon beach along with her husband and children, have decided to snowball the movement and have now launched a drive to rid Vasai beaches of trash.

Initially, 10 people joined the campaign and cleared 40 bags of trash every week. The group then approached Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation (VVCMC), which provided six temporary dustbins. The beach now has permanent dustbins.Such good start by them.
