
Ingredients:
- 500 gm Mutton
- 4 medium sized Onions
- 5 medium sized Tomatoes
- 5 Garlic cloves
- 1 inch piece of Ginger
- 4-5 Green chillies
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Coriander seeds
- 2 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 4 cups Water
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a large pot and add cumin seeds.
- Once the cumin seeds start to crackle, add finely chopped onions, ginger, and garlic.
- Sauté the onions until they are golden brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes, green chillies, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander seeds and garam masala powder. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
- Add the mutton pieces and salt to the pot. Cook until the mutton is browned on all sides.
- Add 4 cups of water and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat, cover the pot and let it simmer for 1-2 hours or until the mutton is tender.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
